Tabby curses the sky

Today, while looking at Robin and Evonne's blogs, I was so jealous by their Christmas layouts!! I am making myself wait until NaBloPoMo is over to change my template (seeing as I've already changed it once this month!), but come December 1st, I'm changing to a Christmas theme! I had picked out one that I liked so-so, but after searching Yahoo! a little while ago, I found a site with fantastic Christmas templates! I haven't decided exactly which one to use yet (annoying and obnoxiously cute, or traditional Christmas feel?) but I am so glad I found such great templates! Considering the fact that I've changed my Myspace page to a Christmas layout, went with my mom to Target and bought Christmas cards and wrapping paper, and it's snowing somethin' fierce outside, I can't help but be feeling the Christmas spirit today.

Moving on, I need to get a little ranting out of the way! My mother is driving me completely bonkers today! I swear, she must have been waiting outside my bedroom door, waiting for the first noise to indicate that I was awake. I had barely opened my eyes when she started yelling at me for leaving a glass in the sink instead of putting it in the dishwasher. I just buried my head in the pillows, and groaned. Really, her poking at me over a glass was just an excuse to start in on my father. My mom is really good at picking out something small as an excuse to start in on whatever it is she really wants to rant over. The whole morning was a "I hate your father" moment. Seriously, the first 45 minutes of my morning were listening to her go on and on about how lazy my dad is, and that if I wasn't careful, leaving a glass in the sink was going to make me just like him one day. Ahh. I swear she is insane! Especially seeing as by the time this afternoon rolled in, she was super nice to my dad when he called her for something. If I didn't know any better, I'd swear she's on crack sometimes!

Earlier, as mentioned previously, I went to Target with my mom. Since she seemed in a better mood, I thought I'd go ahead and risk it with her. Wow was Target busy! My mom was in a shopping mood, and everything she oohed over ended up in our cart. I had picked out a box of Christmas cards and a couple other things, and she ended up paying for that too. I'm glad she was in such a generous mood! She asked me while shopping "Do we need any more wrapping paper?" The answer to this question is always no, but of course, we walked out with five new rolls of paper. We have so much wrapping paper stored in the basement that we could open our own paper factory! My mom has never gotten the concept that we should actually use up what we have before buying more.

Speaking of shopping, I really have no idea what to buy anyone! I've gotten some smaller gifts, but I don't really have anything of substance. I have no idea what to get my mom or my dad! I really don't quite know what to get for my sister and brother in law, either. I really didn't want to go the gift card route, but if I don't come up with some ideas soon, I may be buying gift cards. My sister's birthday is coming up as well, so throw in another event to shop for! Blah.

A quick, cute little story. Tabby and Teddy were outside, doing what the doggies do in the backyard. As usual, they were running around, chasing each other, and barking at squirrels. Tabby looked up in the sky, and a snowflake caught her right in the eye. Tabby is known for her quick temper, and I guess this was no exception! She started barking and growling at the snow falling from the sky! Haha! I don't know if she was cursing God for the snow, or cursing the sky, or cursing the snow itself, but I have to say, it was a pretty funny sight watching her growl at the sky because snow hit her in the eye.

Gotta get ready for rehearsal (i.e. throw my clothes in the dryer because I have nothing to wear). As an ending note, I can't believe we're in the home stretch of NaBloPoMo!
