More random thoughts. I think I should just change the title of my blog to "random observations."
Ah well.
I didn't get much sleep last night, and for a really random reason too. So I was all ready to go to bed, and drift far off to sleep, and I might add that I was pretty comfortable too. I was snuggled into my sheets and wrapped in my quilt. It was mighty cosy. And just as I was drifting to sleep, I kind of glanced around the room in a daze, and saw some random shadows. Now, there is a street light that flows into my window, as well as random things currently piled up around the room, as they have been neglected due to my MCAT studying. Add in the fact that I'm blind as a bat without my glasses, and boom, there you have random unexplained blurs of shadow. So, normally, the big girl in me, all 24 years, would just go back to sleep. But nooo. Who watched a tid bit of Montel Williams earlier in the day? Who saw Sylvia Browne talking about aliens would land sometime in the future, making themselves once and for all known to man? Oh yes, this person was me. And what do you remember at 2 in the morning, when you're exhausted and irrational? You remember that aliens are going to land. So yes, here I was at 2:30 now turning the tv back on to sooth my confused and irrational brain.
You can stop laughing at me.
So I had to get up early because mom is having dental surgery. I can't remember how many teeth she's having pulled, is it two, or three? Err, maybe even four. Ah well they are bad, so to speak, and the roots reach way into her sinus cavities, so finally there is some reason behind some of her headaches. But this reminds me that my mother taught me and my sister very poor dental hygine habits. Brushing my teeth twice in one day is still something I have to constantly remind myself to do. And forget about flossing. I can honestly say it's been about a month since I flossed my teeth. I really think this might be too much information for you all. Yes I brush my teeth everyday, but like I said, at night, when I'm sleepy, I really have to make myself get up and brush. It's not like some childhood habit that is just a part of life. It's something I've had to teach myself to do, because honestly, I was never taught to actually just do it.
Which reminds me. Yesterday on PBS I was watching this doctor talk to people about little changes they could make to change their lives, and he was talking about how flossing your teeth daily will help to cut down on arterial aging and damage, because somehow the bacteria at your gumline can be a contributing cause of heart disease. And, he said flossing is one of the most preventative measures against miscarriage. Go figure! Not that I'm pregnant, but good to know for future, right? Needless to say, I dug out my floss this morning and gave the old gums a whirl. Now if I could cut back on the Taco Bell my arteries would be feeling fantastic.
In other news, it feels flipping fantastic outside. It's like a nice, balmy 55 degrees. For those of you in warm climates you have no idea how exciting 55 degrees is in March. It's like the realization that there is in fact a God, and that he won't leave us stuck in the frozen hell of February for much longer. But it is incredibly muddy outside and Teddy and Tabby are coming in looking like mud wrestlers at a white trash bar.
Oh, I hate to admit it, but most everyone knows my love for reality tv. There is just something about people putting themselves in unrealistic situations that fascinates me. Anyways, I just have to say I was quite amused that Latoya and I both admitted to each other at the same time that we both watch Flavor of Love. We hate New York, but have to admit that New York is right, Pumkin does need a facelift. We also agree that it was the most awesome moment ever when Pumkin spit in New York's face, but that she made the "dumb whitegirl" move of turning her back on an angry black woman. (Latoya and I were not saying white girls are dumb, heck I'm half white, we were just saying that there is a group of girls, who in general are white, who don't understand that you NEVER ever turn your back on an angry ghetto girl.) The look on Pumkin's face when New York came after her was absolutely priceless. And I figure those girls are all fake, because if you were young and pretty what the hell would you want Flavor Flav for? It's rediculous. No one would want that much ugly! Not unless you thought you could get on tv, or possibly get ahold of whatever bit of money he has left from his long over rap career.
Wow talk about tangents. I go from talking about not being able to sleep, to Flavor Flav.

The Space Aliens are going to tie up Flavor Flav with Dental Floss!
