A Little Change

So I decided to change my blog template. I really liked the other one, because it was so clean and simple. I'm usually not one for the overly frilly type of templates. This new one was exactly the type of thing I was looking for, holiday-ish without being completely red and green, and it has a bit of fun to it. You can click on the picture and the cloud will follow your cursor around. Pretty neat, I though.

I have to say, I'm a big fan of my friend Pant's blog template. Simple, nice, and cute without being childish. I should ask her how she designed it.

Hopefully I can get my friend over at the geek squad to help me on the little bits I still need to fudge on this template. I'm not feeling at the moment how there is no left margin. I mean there is a margin, but there should be a margin of gray...err you know what I'm saying!

Speaking of templates, I have a really cute template I designed for my Myspace page...but I'm not breaking that one out until December 1st. But stay tuned, kiddies, it's going to be pimped out.

Thanksgiving went rather well, I have to say. The resturant thing turned out to be the way to go. It was quiet and simple, and whether I knew it at the time, it was exactly how I needed to spend the holiday. Now if I could only get so lucky for Christmas!

Speaking still of Christmas...my mom and I put up our Christmas tree today. Real trees are nice, but honestly they take maintenance, and you have to wait to get one. If you get it too early it dries out, if you get it too late then you pay an arm and leg. In the end, it's nice to have the fake deal. Besides, our tree looks very real. And this way, we don't have to be tree murderers every year! Too bad I haven't gotten my digital camera yet (that's on my Christmas wish list, and should be my big gift, woohoo!) or I'd post pictures. It really is beautiful.

Last but not least...what is it about Blue Lake? When you're determined that you're going into retirement, everyone in the world that you know is calling you, already asking you if you're doing next summer. I've had three people literally beg me to do it... it's crazy. How can I make up my mind when everyone is pulling at me? I think I should get together with Josh sometime and talk to him about it. He and I were having a good conversation about it before. Or maybe I should take up Nathan's invitation to go to Europe for the summer. Now that would be awesome.

Finally, I want to give a big ups (God I've been reading too much Pink lately) to all the people who are doing the month long blogging. Awesome job, and I've enjoyed reading your blogs.
