Wake me up, when Spring Break ends

I'm sooo sleepy! For like the fourth or so night in a row, I have went to bed entirely too late. At this point starting my 21 day challenge of going to bed at a decent hour will seem like a relief! If I don't go to bed early tonight, I'm basically going to be screwed out of any last chances to catch up on my sleep. The kiddies are going back to school next week, and I plan to get as much work as I can. As it is, I've got my very last Biochem exam to work on, plus I've got an orientation for shadowing/volunteering at a local hospital from 9am until 1pm on Tuesday (totally comes smack in the middle of the day, which means I can't even get in a half day of work), plus I'm going to Blue Lake on Friday. Hopefully I can get some work in on Friday, but seeing as Jenn has yet to let me know what time she expects me on Friday, I have no idea when I'll need to leave here. Friday is the cut off day for any work to go on my paycheck for the next Friday, and since there was no work at all for last week to go on the next paycheck... if I want money I need to squeeze some work in this week! I've got one job scheduled for Monday, which is great, but I could use some work for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

I know my dang study partners are going to screw up my work week, by wanting to meet in the middle of the afternoon... which I am so ready to smack my one study partner! I swear the kid is so annoying, and I feel like he doesn't have tons of respect for us girls in the group. I'm thinking it might be a part of his culture (he's from the middle East)... and I'm not trying to stereotype the guy, I'm just calling it as I see it. He doesn't listen to our answers, he tells us straight out that "I'm right, this is the right answer... write it down." Um... yeah. About that. Then, if that wasn't bad enough, me and the other two girls in the group will try to hammer out a time where we can all get together, and he'll refuse to meet us! When we ask him if he's busy at that time, he'll say something like "No, I just don't have class that day, and it's stupid to come up if I don't have class. I don't want to come." Wow, because none of us have class either, but we're coming to work on a test! You gotta bend a little bit when your grade is on the line. I swear, he's such a jack ass. Of course, I'm the only one in the group who has balls to stand up to him. Seeing as I can be shy and somewhat passive, this is saying a lot! I can only credit working at Blue Lake as a Unit Director for years. If I've learned one thing doing that job, it's how to stand up to ass h****.

I've gotten off topic, that rant really was not the point of my blog today.

Yesterday I went shopping. It felt really good to actually spend some of my hard earned money on me. Not on paying off a credit card, or tuition, or something else like that. I spent it on me! I got this frilly, light cotton skirt for the summer, and the shocking part is that it was in navy blue! Yes, navy blue isn't normally a color I would pick for a frilly skirt for the summer, but it is when I work at Blue Lake! Uniform bottoms must be either navy blue or denim, and "formal wear" can not be denim.... Finding a frilly, light, cotton skirt in navy blue is quite the find. Plus, it's definitely only a size 8, and I definitely fit in to it with a bit of room to spare! :D My sister couldn't hide how impressed she was... even if she did pretend to gag. My mom on the other hand, crushed my enthusiasm for wearing a smaller size by saying "Oh, it must run really big." Gee, thanks Mom. Couldn't possibly be that I've went to the gym and actually lost a bit of weight....

Anyhow, I then went to Old Navy looking for a spring coat. What the heck is so hard about finding a spring coat, anyhow? I mean, yes I know stores are getting ready for summer, but hello! It's still chilly here in Michigan! Until the weather hits a firm 65 or 70 degrees, is it so much to ask to have a light coat to wear? I looked at Old Navy and tons of other stores for a coat and found squat. I did leave Old Navy with two new tank tops and an outfit for my friend's newborn... but still, no coat! I was quite peeved by it too. Finally I went to Delia's online, and bought this coat:

Do you like it? This is all I wanted, a simple, yet stylish coat. Why is that so hard to find?
