I never quite know how to start my blogs. I mean, I could start with some witty little comment, or a descriptive paragraph about the weather. But somehow that just doesn't seem right, especially for today. Maybe blogging should be like a phone conversation. For instance, first, I could say "Hi, how are you? What's up?" That seems very nice, and polite, too. Since this is a blog, I guess I would be forced to come across like that person who isn't really listening, and starts barreling ahead with the next topic they want to discuss, without waiting for your response.
So maybe that isn't the best way to start a blog. Ah well!
I have found myself with two days off. I really wanted to work today, but there was surprisingly no work to be had today. I called the subfinder number all through the weekend and no jobs were posted. I thought maybe I might get a call for a job last night, but that was a no go. So today is an unexpected free day. Tomorrow randomly there is no school, so I'll have that off as well. I wouldn't mind the days off at all, except for the fact that it means I won't be getting paid!
With this time off yesterday, it occurred to me that this would be the perfect week to start a new project. I would like to workout every day this week. Now, I know that it is not necessary to work out every single day to be healthy. I've decided I want to exercise seven days this week because I have just been feeling so incredibly lazy lately! Last year I did so well! I lost a few extra pounds that needed to come off, and I felt good about it. Having a job this summer that required me to park my butt in a chair for most of the day did nothing to help my good progress. I put back on the weight I had lost, which was very irritating. I haven't gained an incredible amount of weight, but still, it is so annoying. Jeans that were big on me then are snug on me now. I refuse to go up a pant size, so that means either I'm going to look like Kim Kardashian, or I'm going to have to get my lazy arse up and do those bends and sit ups. And that means I'd better get a move on, because I do have yet another rehearsal this evening. I'll let you all know how this goes! I'm planning on doing pilates today, and I might do it all week. I've been having some back pain lately (this has been an ongoing problem since an unfortunate fall I had in ballet when I was around 13 or 14), and I know that the way to cure the problem is to make sure my core muscles are strong.

I'm going to use an Imagination Prompt today, for the first time ever. Thanks Robin. :)
What are your goals for the coming month?
I have a few goals for November/December that have been jumbled in my brain!
In no particular order of importance:
1. Keep blogging through November! I feel like this has been a great exercise to keep myself thinking creatively, so I definitely want to keep up with blogging everyday of November.
2. As I mentioned, getting more motivated to work out! I have been feeling lazy lately, and my energy level could be higher. I am completely wiped out after working with kids all day, and a change in my exercise habits could definitely help that.
3. Start Christmas shopping. I would really like to get most of my Christmas shopping out of the way before December gets here. Last year I waited a bit too long, and obnoxious people and stores really drove me bonkers. I'm really hoping for more Christmas spirit in general, because last year it really seemed to be lacking. It just seemed as if I was going through the motions of everything.
4. Talk to advisers at UMF, as well as at CMU. I also plan to look at some other schools with similar programs that I've been considering. I really want to weigh all my options, even though this whole thing is a little overwhelming!
5. Keep saving money. I know it seems like with Christmas shopping that may not be something feasible, but I think if I make it a priority, it can happen. Even if I'm only putting away $50 from each paycheck, $50 every two weeks can really add up.
******
That's all I got for today! I really need to get a move on if I'm going to get a workout in, plus get ready for choir and eat some dinner.

See now I think working with little ankle biters is more than enough exercise! Yeah, I'm that lazy! ;P
Great goals though for the next few months, by the way. :) -
