Yawn
I'm sleepy! Last night was a toss and turn kind of night. I must have been clenching my jaw as well, because I remember waking up and popping my jaw like 5 times. Needless to say, I started out the day tired, and I'm going to end it that way, too!
I subbed for elementary art today. Thankfully, it was pretty easy day, and the kids had tons of fun doing Thanksgiving banners. One kid started doing the letters for his banner in tiger stripes, and it suddenly became a huge hit. Every kid after that had to do tiger stripes somewhere on their art projects! It was pretty cute, actually. Doesn't make me want a child of my own any time soon, but I definitely thought the kids were cute today.
Guys, I must admit, I'm kind of out of ideas for blogging today! Everything around here is so geared up towards Thanksgiving. The only things on my mind are whether or not I need to buy more cocoa for my pie, and if I need to get Cool Whip for the pumpkin pie. People usually eat pumpkin pie with whipped cream, right? I never have liked pumpkin pie, so these little details are not hard wired in my brain.
I plan to take tomorrow off because there is simply too much to do around here before Thursday. My mom has extended her death bed from the weekend until now, so that means that if I don't get a start on some of the chores around here, I'm going to be driven crazy come Thursday. My motto for today is "So much to do... so little time." Seriously! It seems like once I get through one chore, another one invents itself. I got my closet nice and organized only to realize that I have a pile of laundry that is growing in to a small mountain. I've been planning to do the baking for Thanksgiving, but didn't make time to go to the grocery store to pick up the little things.

I was watching Oprah's Favorite Things episode today. Usually I'm a little more impressed with the things she gives out, but this year I felt like it was blah. She gave away some fugly leisure suit that was over $200, which my thought on that was "Only someone with Oprah's money would spend that much money on THAT." She gave everyone brand new, stainless steel finished refridgerators. Not just a fridge, a fridge with a tv on the front, that played DVDs. Okay, that's great to get a new fridge, but do you need to play DVDs on your fridge? Seems like technology overkill to me. Honestly, if were an audience member of that show, I'd probably take everything home and sell most of it on Ebay.

Well, that's all for today. I'm going to eat dinner, do some laundry, and hopefully get in to bed in the next few hours.

A fugly leisure suit... hilarious!
I totally agree with you though. I've watched shows past and some of her gifts, I was like "who would want that?!" Like she gives out clothing that for someone like me {plus sized}, of course that particular store goes up to a "whopping" size eight. And she's giving everyone an outfit from there, when you can clearly see not everyone is that size. Argh! -

Robin, I totally agree with you. Plus, I always feel bad for all the men in the audience who are getting these gifts. I guess their wives or girlfriends will get two of the fugliness.
On a side note, it would have been nice if these fugly things came in small sizes to spare people from wearing them, but they definitely went to size 24. Equal opportunity fug. -
