As My World Turns...

I'm only working with about five minutes here, so I need to be brief! I've been wanting to blog for a while now, but lord knows I haven't had the time or energy!

Okay, so wrap up the soap opera I left you all with... yes. Interesting how this all seems like a million years ago to me now! D and I did talk... we had a very heartfelt talk, actually. We talked for over an hour on my last commute back from Flint, about almost everything. He confessed his feelings, he told me I was the bravest person he knew... we laughed, everything was great and happy, and after all of this, we both came to the mutal decision that we wanted to remain as friends.

I know... that's shocking, right? But after all of that grief, it just occurred to me that deep down inside, I was afraid he'd say he wanted to be in a relationship, because I knew it wasn't what I wanted. What I wanted was to tell him that I cared once and for all, and that I did love him. Being able to confess your love for someone isn't the same thing as wanting to be with them, as I've learned. So, he is still one of my very best friends, and he knows that I have cared for him deeply, and he has cared for me. And we're both happy with that. So long story short, I'm not with D, but I am completely happy with that decision.

And moving on, there is still S. Who I do like a lot. Not sure exactly where it's going to go, but both of us are starting to realize it's not going to go away any time soon. In fact, I get very sad when I don't get a cute little text from him at some point in the day! I know, it's sickening, it's silly, but it's fun. And I figure that S should no longer be a nameless guy on my blog... his name is Scott and he's super fun, and hey, I like him a lot. :) And that's that.

So I'm now about five minutes late... and this is where I'll end my blog. But I would like to say that our camp did make CNN recently... but for nothing good. Oh, I swear if I hear the phrase "swine flu" one more time in life, I might have to hurt someone! Something so ridiculous has made my life complete hell this summer! Add in the four ambulances we called last week, and the health staff member who gave us her two week notice last week only to then tell us today she wants to leave tomorrow... and yeah. This would be why I never have time to blog!

Until later... meanwhile I'll try to update my twitter more often!

You have to be about the bravest person I know! Good for you for just putting it all out there with D. At least you can still be friends, and he wasn't a jerk about it. :-)

Good luck with Scott! He sounds like a very sweet guy. Keep us updated!

I'm tired of hearing about Swine flu too! A ton of people have it around here and the are just sick for a few days- nothing to fret about too much.

Good luck with Scott. :o)

Do you have cell phone service at camp? If so, you should try mobile blogging! You just send your blog entry through text. I miss reading regular updates from you!

Love can be totally confusing; but it sounds like you have great instincts. :) Glad to hear from the tweets that you're having fun--my, you must have one strong stomach for the grape. :>
