Thanks for the thoughts from everyone on my last post! I was literally in tears when I wrote that... and Scott did call me and apologize for what he clearly meant to be a joke. He's just a dumb boy, so that explains that! And D is an ass... and that explains that!
So anyhoo, moving on... I spent today volunteering for my honor's frat, Eta Sigma Gamma, and I met with one of my professors (who is really becoming a bit of a mentor to me). I needed to get a thesis prep class for the fall, and since I still have one of my core classes to finish, I needed a professor to agree to override the pre-requisite hold they had put on my registration. Well, she was happy to do that for me, but of course, she also talked me in to volunteering to run her AIDS awareness booth next week for the campus' Welcome Back Picnic (i.e. me giving people free condoms), and volunteering to help run a men's colorectal health booth (i.e. telling men to go get their booties inspected, haha). Oh you gotta love health promotion... no topic is taboo to discuss with a perfect stranger! Anyhow, I don't know how this woman just talks me in to doing anything... goodness! She really could be a used car salesman.
Today's event was a welcome event for new freshman, and pretty much every club and organization on campus took over the plaza of the University Center to try to get the freshmen's interests. Me and some of my friends from Eta Sigma Gamma sat for hours in the direct sunlight, trying to get people interested... and we only got 11 people to sign up! Somehow I avoided getting a farmer's tan all summer, and yet I managed to get a very prominent one today, even after I borrowed my friend's SPF 70 sunblock! LOL Darn these ancestors from Africa, and their skin's resistance to skin cancer! :-P I don't mind getting a tan, but a farmer's tan is the worst!
I'm thinking of changing my blog template in the next day or so, so if my blog is temporarily down, that will explain it! I still have no idea how you guys do those really cool self-made templates... I'm just not as tech savvy I guess! But, anyhow, that reminds me, of the real reason I wanted to blog tonight! I'm sure you guys have seen this site, but I just have to post a link, anyhow. It's called People of Walmart, and it shows some very interesting pictures of Walmart patrons, to say the least. It CRACKS me up, if only because I have quoted random converations overheard at Walmart on a couple of occasions on my blog.

Hmmm, handing out condoms sounds... interesting, haha! So does telling random guys to get get checked out there. Have fun with that! :)
I don't make my own templates, in case you were wondering. I use pre-made backgrounds and just make my own header to match. I use backgrounds from this site and it's pretty easy. http://thecutestblogontheblock.com/free/free-backgrounds.html
You can make a custom header in any design program, including Paint, as long as you know what dimensions to make it. Hope that helps. :) -

That Walmart site is crazy! I had seen a Yahoo article on it the other day, but couldn't access it until last night. I went to Walmart TWICE yesterday. I'm so mad because I would of been on the lookout for weird people. -

Evonne, I could read the comments with no problem, but I am using Explorer as my browser. I don't know if you're using Firefox? Anyhow, the site has had so much traffic in such a short time that it keeps crashing, so maybe that's why you couldn't access the comments?
