Today has been a series of duh moments... including this very blog post! It is a duh moment, because, duh, I almost forgot to actually post it!
My first duh moment of the day was this morning, when I went into the bathroom to wash my face. Well, I use this Clean and Clear morning face wash stuff in a green bottle. It has a particular scent that I'm quite used to by now, as well as these little microbead things that exfoliate my skin. So anyhow, here I am, all ready to wash my face. I reach for a green bottle, squirt the facewash into my hand... and notice that it seems to be a little thinner than usual. I don't think much about it, and I proceed to smear it across my face. Hmm, it smells kind of different, but yet... I know this smell, so what is the problem? I freak out when I realize I'm washing my face with my cucumber melon Softsoap hand soap... the stuff that dries my skin out! It too is in a green bottle... eh.
My second duh moment was when I went to Walmart this morning to do some grocery shopping. I've been trying to incorporate more fruits and veggies into my diet. I like asparagus, so I decided to go ahead and buy some fresh asparagus. When I went to the check out, the cashier eyed it in a confused way. She looked over her produce chart, shook her head, then proceeded to look through a big binder filled with random codes. When she still couldn't figure out what she was looking for, she looked at me and said "What's that?"
Of course, I was confused myself by her question and I said "Huh?"
"This... what is this?"
"Oh, you mean the asparagus? It's asparagus... asparagus."
"Oh, okay."
Yes... I know not everyone in the world loves asparagus, but really? I could see her asking what the heck my parsley was (and yes that was her next question), but asparagus? It has a very distinctive appearance... it's not randomly green and leafy like some other veggies... I mean, seriously?
And last but not least, my third duh moment of the day came when my mother asked me if her poop might smell like medicine due to the flu vaccine she received yesterday. Yes, these are the types of conversations my mother insists on having with me.

Haha! I have days like that all the time.
The soap story reminds me of the time that I put acne gel on my teeth thinking it was tooth whitening gel because they were in very similar bottles. Yuck!! -
