Halloween

I've decided that every Friday for NaBloPoMo I'm going to post a picture or two and write about them. Here goes my first stab at it.

This year, Halloween seemed pretty mellow, but my friends and I had a girls' night at our apartment. I did these crafts. The big pumpkin is real, and the other two table top ones are foam. I bought an expensive amount of glitter and just had at it. Let me tell you, glitter truly is the herpes of craft projects! It gets everywhere, and good luck getting rid of it! And it is not the easiest thing in the world to shake glitter off of a pumpkin that feels like it weighs 10 lbs at least! So yes, while these are modest little crafts, it definitely made me feel like I was the next Martha Stewart after I cleaned up all the glitter mere moments before my friends arrived. My sister gave me crap about it of course, saying I should have just bought glitter pumpkins at Target... but I was determined to put my own personal touch on the party. I like to think of myself as Mary Tyler Moore when it comes to hosting parties, except my parties actually turn out fun, haha. And if you don't know about Mary Tyler Moore... than well, that reference is lost, now isn't it?

And let's just say, I spent more money than I should have at Joann Fabrics buying Halloween fabric to turn into fun table cloths for the party!

That's all for tonight guys, see you tomorrow!
