Today is a new day, and luckily I've come out of my blue mood from yesterday! I really was feeling kind of down yesterday, and I definitely needed some space away from my mother. Even though I was kind of dreading class due to an extra test our professor sprang upon us, it ended up being a good way to clear my brain. I think I did fine on the test, and overall it was a good change of pace. I'm actually starting to enjoy Mondays, because they take away from the humdrum of the weekend.
Anyhow... yesterday we got snow again! It really wasn't even in our forecast, either. Gotta love Michigan and the lake effect snow machine! The winds whipped off of Lake Huron, and came south... giving us a nice blanket of snow last night. The thumb area (yes, we actually call it the thumb) got covered in snow, and as a result I woke up to listings of schools in those counties being closed for their first snow day of the season. We're kind of in that no-man's land between the south of Michigan, and the thumb, so we got some of the lake effect, but nothing severe enough to cancel school for. Last night though... eek! The roads got really slippery on my way to school, so much so that lots of people were just sliding through intersections. On the way back home, they had attempted to clear the roads, so it wasn't as bad, but I still did a bit of fishtailing. LOL In fact, I videotaped about 30 seconds worth for a video blog for today!
On the one hand, I look at the calendar and I'm completely shocked that we're already in the middle of November (and quickly coming to the end!), but on the other hand, this snow is putting me in the mood for Christmas! A little over a month to go. Does anyone else feel like this month has flown by? I sure do!
******
Well, off to finish a powerpoint presentation, for my first of my four final presentations for the semester! Luckily I finished it over the weekend, I just need to do a final proofread and run through.

Not So Blue... More Like White...

Wow, that's beautiful. We never, EVER see snow like that. We used to in Oklahoma when I was little, but hardly ever in Arkansas. I'm so jealous...and I got a little nervous for you going through that red light ;)
Glad you were able to clear your head and that you're feeling better! I'm feeling the Christmas excitement, too. It really is getting here quick. -
