Run, Run, Rudolph!!!

11:15 PM

I'm listening to "Run, Run, Rudolph" as I type this, and I gotta say, it sums up how I've been feeling lately! I feel like I've been go go go all week. And, sigh, I still have one more week of running my butt off!

So, I've been thinking lately that my life seems to be on an overly exaggerated cycle between awesome and crap! Seriously... something great happens, followed by something crappy, followed by something great. Today was a pretty good day, so that leaves me curious as to what tomorrow may bring!

For instance, I have been so worried about how in the world I'm going to find the money to pay for all of my books for next semester... and then I get an email from the office of the Provost (I still have no idea what the hell a provost does...) saying that I've been awarded a grant for next semester! I didn't even apply for one, so how awesome is that? Free money, yes please! The grant will be more than enough to cover my books... so that is a huge weight off my shoulders!

Then of course, my group partner (who I've become pretty good friends with) has been getting on my nerves a bit with her lack of interest in our final project for a class... which has been not only on my nerves but stressing me out as well. The balance has been that in another class, my professor raved about my presentation on cervical cancer... so much so that she asked if she could use it for future classes! How awesome is that? See... the good and the crappy seem to be coming hand in hand.

At least my to do list is getting shorter! As it stands now...

  1. Read 1 more boring article to do a lit review for my Epidemiology paper.

  2. Continue on my Epi paper... get it done by Friday Sunday.(10 more pages to go!)

  3. Study for my health theory final exam

  4. Begin working on a final project for my Program Eval course... even though me and my partner don't really know what the program is that we're evaluating, and our professor is currently MIA in Washington D.C.

  5. Finish my final project for my Program Eval course by Wednesday

  6. Possibly get another day of work in next week

  7. Do a PowerPoint presentation for my Research Methods class

  8. Finish the final draft of my research proposal

  9. Fit last of Christmas shopping in somewhere!

  10. Possibly have time to make it to the gym?

  11. Find time to sleep, eat, and bathe.

  12. Somehow get my room spotlessly cleaned, and decorated before Christmas.
  13. Take two trash bags full of old clothes to Goodwill or Salvation Army.
  14. Take my comforter to the laundromat to be washed.

I did add stuff and take some things off the list... but I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel!

I forgot about group work... blah! There is always someone who doesn't want to do their part. :-/

I hope you can make your way through the list, and get everything accomplished. :-)
