An Interview with Teddy

No lie, I almost forgot to blog today! I'm glad February is a short month, because I'm completely running out of steam! I'm not sure I'll have anything interesting to talk about next week, since it's spring break. I've been studying for most of the day! One errand I was planning on running (going to the bank) I totally forgot about, because I got wrapped up in some summer work conversations, and even more studying. Ah, I will be glad when I get this midterm over and done with on Thursday!

Anyhoo... I thought it would be funny to do an imaginary blog of sorts today. If Teddy could talk, what would he say? I've decided to blog about what an interview with Teddy would be like, if he could talk.

Me: Hi Mr. Tedders, what were you up to today?

Teddy: Um... well first I woke up the whole house barking, but I swear there was somebody outside! I don't like people near our house, unless it's the mail lady. I like her. Then Mommy let me and Tabby outside... did that for most of the day. Going in and out to play. And I took a nap, and waited for the mail to come, and for Daddy to get home.

Me: Oh, you forgot about when I took a bath.

Teddy: Oh yeah! I came in the bathroom and tried to eat your soap bubbles, but you never let me! I like soap. But then you gave me a washcloth, and I laid it on the floor, and then I rubbed my face on it! It felt so good! I love wet washclothes! Then I took it back behind the bathtub like I always do, and held it in place so I could rub my whole head on it! Then I got bored and let you get out of the tub.

Me: Okay, so what do you and Tabby do when you go outside?"

Teddy: Well, there is the tree in the backyard, and there is a squirrel. A SQUIRREL! I want him real bad. So me and Tabby, we run circles around the tree, and we bark, super nice, trying to make the squirrel come down. One day, I'm going to get him!

Me: Hmm... I don't think that's such a good idea, do you, Mr. Bear?

Teddy: Aww... you never let me have any fun!

Me: Sorry kiddo. But I let you have lots of fun! What do we do almost every night?

Teddy: Tug of War!!! I always beat you.

Me: Yup, you sure do! And what do you and Daddy do on the weekends?

Teddy: We go on super long walks, all around the neighborhood! And I get to bark at other dogs, and people, and birds, and sniff stuff, and people tell Daddy how good looking I am. And then Daddy and I come home, and Tabby gets excited to see us.

Me: So, Mr. Tedders, how do you like to end the day?

Teddy: Well, I eat a big supper that Mommy always makes for me and Tabby, and then I nap on the couch with Daddy. Then after that, I usually go out a couple more times, play tug of war with you, and fall asleep watching Animal Planet.

Me: Well, sounds like a pretty nice day. Anything else you want to say?

Teddy: Can I go outside? Please?

******

Sorry if that was a little silly... these are just the things I think Teddy would say, if he could talk.
