New Digs

Hey all! Finally moved in to the new digs... well mostly! There is still a fair amount of my stuff at my parents house, but I will be going back and forth over there for a while, picking up things here and there. There are boxes everywhere in my room... wow! It is going to take a long time for me to get unpacked. Bernadette didn't bring half the stuff that I did... but that's okay. I like having my stuff! I just wish it wasn't all boxed up, and could magically find its way to a happy home.

Ah, I just broke out my Snuggie for the first time... it's so awesomely warm! Haha, so cheesy, but it was a gift, so I can't let it go to waste. :)

So we really have no furniture at this point. We have small entertainment center that my mom and dad gave us, with my tv sitting on it, and we have two side tables (the coffee table is out of stock til December.) The dining set it currently shipping, and Bernadette is buying the sofa, but wants to wait for a Black Friday deal. So currently, we have my sleeping bag and my camp chair in front of the tv! I got out the camp chair tonight because I was tired of sitting on the floor.

I've been a little lonely here by myself, because Bernadette was gone for most of the day! She left before 7am, and didn't come back home til 9pm, so I was a little bored! My sister came up to visit for the early part of the afternoon, and we went to Walmart and dropped lots of cash on groceries. Then I went by my parents house to get some more of my things, and play with Tedders and Tabbers. Then I went to Meijer and got some things I couldn't get at Walmart... then I came in and put away all the stuff I had gotten from home and Meijer... then I made dinner for myself. I think it was eating alone that kind of made me lonely. Which is strange because at home I would generally eat alone anyhow. Ah well, funny how those things go.

So I love the new apartment, but this being completely on my own thing is going to take some getting used to! I always feel this way the first week at camp, too. So I know it will fade, but in the meanwhile, I do feel a bit lonely... and my brain did go back to Scott and still feeling rather heartbroken. Oh well, life will go on, and I will get used to having more quiet time! Lord knows I've wanted it for so long!

So all it not bad, much of it is good, and this new freedom I have is going to take a little getting used to.

I know the lonely feeling all too well. My sister is hardly ever home. And when she is, she's either working or half asleep. And talking to cats is zero fun! ;-P

TV & music are good entertainment, though!

The night I moved out of my dad's house I was so homesick that I cried. I was happy, but it was just a big change. Anyways, I know how you feel, and it will go away soon.
