I've Become The Girl I Hate...

...the girl who puts her business on Facebook. The girl who calls someone out on Facebook, because 100 of your mutual friends will see it, and know who you are referring to. The girl who puts this on her Facebook, then texts said someone, and says "Hey! I just wanted to let you know I put up a special Facebook status just for you! Happy Birthday sweetie!" And then spends the rest of the night arguing with said someone via text message, and spends the rest of the night crying. I want this to be done. I want to feel better. But instead, I just feel empty and alone, and stupid. All in one. It's lovely.

And I'm sorry I keep blogging about this, I know you guys are tired of hearing about it. I'm tired of it... I thought 2010 was going to be a new drama-free year, and yet here I am getting the wounds of my broken heart torn open once again. Sigh. I wish I could just run away.

Edited to add: In retrospect, while I do regret putting all my business on facebook, I also think it was kind of a bad ass thing for me to do, and I won't take it down. I also think it was a really bad ass thing for me to send him that happy text in order to sabotage his birthday. Don't piss me off.

**Further edited to add: He later imed me to try yet again to make amends, or as I see it, soothe his guilty conscience. His revelation? He has "kinda" been in love with this girl for two years, but didn't realize it til after things went south between me and him. I'd like to just curl in to a little ball and not come out for a long time. I wouldn't mind it if he was wiped off the face of the planet. He's a miserable human being and I can't believe I ever trusted him. And this is what I want to say on Facebook but instead I'll hide it away on my blog. The end, goodnight.

I do that too, reveal too much on Facebook. I can't tell you how many times I have written a status and then gone back and deleted it because I was embarrassed. Your situation is nothing to be ashamed of though! Almost anyone can relate to what you are going through, I know I can! Hugs!

I wished we lived just a smidge closer... I'd invite you over for a junk food/rant & rave session.

I wouldn't feel the least bit embarrassed about what you wrote on FB. I know I'd probably do the same exact thing. In fact, I have such a horrible {Anne Shirley} temper that I would probably write stuff for days & days!!

Just when I think I'd like to try and meet someone, I see douchebag men who hurt great women {like you!!} and talk myself right out of it. Being a spinster cat lady sounds so much more appealing everyday. I don't know about living with my sister forever, though. That crosses the "she's weird" line. :-P

And don't ever apologize about talking about the same thing on here. If you wanted to talk about the 1,001 ways he sucks for the whole year, do it! This is YOUR blog! :-)

P.S. I can't believe he mentioned liking ANOTHER girl?! What the hell??? I'd drive all the way to where he lives just to egg his house!

F*** him. I hope all his future relationships are failures. I hope this girl he's in love with becomes bald with tons of back-ne and yellowing/blackening teeth. I hope she's a starfish in bed with a jungle down there so that he cuts his wang everytime he wanders into the jungle.

You rock for putting that on Facebook because I believe douchebags need to know they are douchebags. How else is society to improve, I ask!

Ahem, I hope my post wasn't too strong and you may delete it if it cuases you to gag. :D

Hugs!

Hahahahahaha Jessica!!!! LOVE IT.

Evonne, I'm glad you know where I'm coming from... even if it does suck a lot.

Robin... don't give in to it. All guys aren't douchebags, I know this. I just got hijacked by this girl with all these emotions. I have to believe a good guy is out there. I'm friends with plenty of them, I just have to find one who isn't only falling in to the friend category.

But yes, I owned it, and all my friends said it was a pretty badass way for me to wish him happy birthday. :) They also said they'd have been much meaner to him.

Jessica,

You are AWESOME!

That is all. :-)

Heck yeah, do not feel bad about this! Don't feel bad about the drama, either--we've all been there.

Try to remember that he's the one with the problem. It wasn't anything you did. I can attest to the fact that douchebags have a way of gravitating toward uglier douchettes because it makes them feel better about themselves. But you are lucky to be, uh, douchebag-free now.

Count me in for the egging roadtrip. I feel my feminism coming on. . .

For the record, I love you girls. You guys are all pretty awesome. I apparently ruined his birthday... oh dear. I wish I felt bad. Not.

Jessica FTW! :)

You girls are horrible, agreeing with my points. He's only human and male. Come on now.... ;) Nah, still a douchebag. Which reminds me, is it really an insult to call him a "vagina shower"? F***ing moron, ingrate, male, those sound much meaner.

You rock on Tamara, you'll find a good guy. Trust me, you forget the douchebags and laugh it off in the end as much as it hurts right now. :) Mwah, glad I can add some humor to a crappy situation babe.

Jess, thanks, I have to believe you're right. And I gotta say, your snarky comments have been greatly missed around here!

Hey Tamara! I need to drop by your blog more!!

This is one of the reasons I got off Facebook, to prevent this. Sure, sometimes I wish I could post things like this, but mostly, just glad I am away from drama!
