Friday... oops, Wednesday Randomness
Charlie hit me again today, and scratched me, too. Let's just say, I'm at the end of my rope.
Well, anyhow, between the frustration of that, and other things, I decided to sign back up for counseling services at school. I kind of felt like it was a bit of personal defeat, but at the same time, I kinda feel like I'm defeating myself currently, so yeah.
Anyhow, moving on, my sister is moving back in with my parents. I don't know if I mentioned that or not. My parents just bought a new house... a small ranch, so it is ironic that their little retirement nest is now being filled with one of their children moving back in! My sis will have the nicely finished basement to herself, oh and her two crazy dogs. Who will no doubt drive my mom insane, in addition to Teddy and Tabby! Oh good lord, the stories I'm going to be hearing soon... goodness! Well, gotta say I'm glad I won't be living there for all that insanity!
So it looks like my sister is going full ahead with plans to divorce her hubby. I have never been the biggest fan of my brother in law, but at the same time, I hate to see my sister go through the heartache of a divorce. On the bright side of all of this mess, she is moving back in with my parents so that she can go to school full time and finally work on her bachelor's degree. That is definitely a plus!
She was living in the suburbs of Detroit, but now that she's moving back up here (we're about an hour north of Detroit), she has already found a new job up here! She got a job at Kohl's. What is even better? She is using her employee discount to get me 35% off a cute sweater and a cute pair of Sketchers! I am super excited because I've wanted new shoes and a new sweater or two for a while, and they were already having a decent sale... but now with her discount it is like Christmas came early.
So yeah... work sucks, I'm not happy that my sister is getting a divorce... but I'm happy about shopping. I know there was no real coherent flow to this blog... but well, it is Wednesday.
Which is pretty hilarious that it is Wednesday, seeing as I just titled this blog as "Friday Randomness." Haha, I almost want to keep that title. Damn, I need to go to bed. Goodnight!

Charlie sounds like a little psycho. Someone needs to put him in his place.
If you feel that you could benefit from counseling, don't feel bad about it! At least you are helping yourself instead of ignoring the things that are bothering you! HUGS!
Sucks that your sister is getting a divorce, but good for her for getting back to school! Hopefully things will all work out well for her. -

Oh you poor dear!
When kids hit or scratch adults, it makes me so enraged! What I hate is all this psychological crap we have to do nowadays to get ten seconds of good behavior from kids. Like having to explain to the child why their behavior is unacceptable, and why they should do this or that. Since when did it become the 'norm' to start treating children like adults?
While I don't condone beating a child, I *do* think a good smack on the rear end is warranted for behavior like his.
Good for you for seeking some counseling. I know you're going through a hard time with the job. It's good to have someone to vent to who can give you feedback.
I'm sorry your sister is going through her divorce. :-( It's always sad when you see a marriage end. But it sounds like she's trying to turn things around, so good for her -

I echo Robin, good decision for counseling. Sometimes there's just way too much going on, way too much in your head, that you need someone else to take it on. Hope things start turning around.
