Wieners

I kinda fail at blogging for NaBloPoMo. I thought about blogging yesterday, I even went to my blog, had an idea, and guess what? I thought I'd blog after dinner... and then after dinner I promptly fell asleep.

So I'll do two posts today, one this morning for yesterday, and one tonight.

I'll do a quick post of what I was planning on writing about yesterday. My kids seem to have an odd obsession with the male anatomy. There was the kid a few weeks back who told me that someone had kicked her in the nuts, only for me to explain to her that she didn't have nuts.

Yesterday I had a little boy, who we will call Tommy... who decided it would totally be okay to unzip his pants and show everyone his four year old little peter. Uh huh... brilliant. I didn't see it, but five kids did, and they promptly told me that "Tommy just showed us his privates."

Good freaking lord.

Then, after I had a long talk with Tommy about why we don't do that, later in the afternoon Tommy yelled out that a girl had quote "showed us her wiener!" In which I had to say "Kelly did NOT show you her wiener because she doesn't have one. Stop it with the wieners!"

Yes, that was such an intelligent statement I made, but good freaking lord! What the hell is so interesting about a penis???? I mean really... let's be real here, they're not that interesting.

I can't help but crack up!

I know when you're "in" the moment, it's totally not funny and is disturbing to hear this from small children, for sure!

The oldest boy I watch {who is 4} talks about kissing one of his classmates on the butt. And then the other day he told me he wanted to kiss her inside her butt. I was just like WTF??!?!?! Then I said "We don't talk like that!!!" And he likes to point out that I have boobies. I'm like where on EARTH are these kids hearing this stuff? They watch Handy Manny and Dora the Explorer in my presence. WHO is talking like this when I'm not around?!

Craziness!!

Hahaha, you both crack me up! Although, like Robin said, it's not funny when you are actually in that situation. I'm sure it's quite uncomfortable and awkward.

When I worked at an after-school daycare in high school, the kids were outside and someone found poopy underwear on the grass, right in front of the school. They all thought it was hilaaaaarious, and I was just like wtf??
